Our carbonating keg lid is the perfect way to take the pain out of getting CO2 into your homebrew.
Get off the slow boat to carbonation town. With a keg carbonation lid and stone, you expose the entire volume of your brew to CO2, rather than just the headspace. The result? Better, faster carbonation. Try 3-6 hours, instead of days. And that means faster drinking, which is very good.
The business end of the lid features a 0.5 micron diffusion stone*. The stone provides a fine and evenly-distributed stream of carbon dioxide into your beer—from the bottom, of course, where it can most easily permeate the entire contents of your keg.
Lid with O-ring includes a ball lock gas post, locking bale, and 22″ of gas line. The lid fits the standard oval opening of most Cornelius-style kegs. And lid installation is as easy as closing your keg is now. No modification required.
*Don’t forget to boil the diffusion stone for 3-5 minutes before using, to sterilize it and to remove any manufacturing residue. It’s the clean thing to do.
